SURN band is dedicated to delivering the finest in Post-rock music to everyone’s Based in Purwokerto, Central Java, Indonesia, had formed in 2018, with Gibran (Synth), Erlian (Guitar), Faishal (Guitar), Hendar (Bass) and also Naufal (Drum).

Every member/player has a different back- ground of music. So Surn has to collabo- rate/creating new sound or new ambience that everyone hasn’t heard before. The name Sum is literally named that has no meaning, It’s just S-U-R-N.

Surn’s music is strongly influenced by post rock, ambience, depressive sound, through bands such as Mew, Mogwai, Moonlit Sailor, Explosion In the Sky, Saxon Shore, and God is an Astronaut. And also Surn Inspired by post-metal sounds like Casplan, Tides From Nebula, and Rusian Circles.

You can say “Surn” the way you want, there’s no specific way to say it. Surn’s music has a post rock under-tone, but is combined with many other genres, such as ambience, post-metal, and prog- gresive.
